India is known for providing the best talent across the world. A number of youths take up admissions in Engineering colleges throughout the country each year. We have countless Engineering institutes in India and some of them have worldwide recognition. Among them are the IITs known as the Indian Institute of Technology, it sure does ring a bell. It is a dream to crack a seat in the IITs and every adolescent who looks at building a career in Technology aims at IIT in the starting years.
The IITs are independent public institutes which have been declared the "institutes of national importance" and are governed by the Institutes of Technology Act, 1961.They are spread across the nation in 16 different locations among which the first IIT was set up in Kharagpur (West Bengal) in 1951. They are managed by a common IIT council which takes care of their administration and have the freedom to act independently.
They have a common admission process for undergraduate admissions and it is called Joint Entrance examination advanced. The post graduate level programs, administered by the Older IITs - Kharagpur, Bombay, Kanpur, Varanasi, Madras, Roorkee, Delhi, and Guwahati) take in the admission through the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering and Common Admission Test. The IITs have a number of Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses along with the Doctoral degrees that they offer.
They have a pool of notable alumni that includes, Mr. N.R. Narayana Murthy (co "“ founder and former chairman of Infosys), Sundar Pinchai (CEO, Google) Sachin Bansal and Binny Bansal (Co-founders of Flipkart) to name a few. They had created a rage in the 1980s and 1990s which is on till date. It is often quoted by the elders in the family that your life is set and sorted if you get through one of the IITs.
Then the nation saw the advent of other Engineering colleges which did equally good and got great recognition too.

People start off by getting their children into good competition preparation academies and institutes. Hours of continuous study and a good sitting is a must for the preparation. The key is to never give up and be prepared for 100% self-study. The aspiring candidates make this lifestyle a part of their living. All they have to do is give in their 100 % in concentration and self-study and keep up the motivation by just focusing on the goal.
