Every parent plays very important part in the up-bringing of their children. Kids might take unethical decisions but they have to believe in their kid's decision when he/she grows up to teen age. He starts making out the difference between right & wrong.
At the age of 14 to 18, teenagers undergo many mental & physical changes. Their mood swings that it becomes a hard task for parents to even communicate with their kids If not done in a right way. It is the time period when the kids think too much about them, their lives; their demand becomes essential necessities that have to be fulfilled in any case. All this happens in the stage of maturity when teens are concerned about their self image.
When we are adolescence, all are important decisions are taken by our parents. They decide what should we wear, what friends should we make, when to study, when to play, etc. At least teenagers should take decisions like where to spend money, what to wear, music to listen, and going to gym, when they enter maturity. It makes them more independent & self confidence increases. Parents should support teenagers to make their own decisions for better future.
During teen age, kids mostly face personal issues. Parents should provide them their personal space to deal with their problems by themselves.
Teen agers are really hard to control if not communicated with them properly. They are messed up with their teen age problems which make them shout, in disciplined or sometimes depressed, if facing personal issues. Parent must be careful while dealing with a teenager. Here are few tips:
1. Try to know your teen age kid better
2. Give more practical examples rather than yelling & shouting on him for his mistakes
3. Give them personal space to deal with their own issues
4. Spend time together, be friends with him
Avoid negative conversation with your teen age child like, Conversation should not involve yelling, control tone of voice, Do not make your child feel lonely, upset & demotivated.
Teenagers have capabilities to take their own decisions ethically. What parents need to do is to support their kids in being a successful mature adult who learns from mistakes & reaches the right path ultimately.
