Nai Nangla is a very tiny place in Haryana. The rural education was under a lot of concern a few years back. Currently the place seems to have taken an about turn and progressed rapidly in the field of education. This is definitely enriching the lives of students of that area. It has also stopped a lot of malpractices I this area.
Sajia, Eshan and Sahid Afridi are three students that have been most successful since they joined Universal Academy. They go out for various extracurricular activities and make their community proud of their achievements. They all speak fluent English and after returning home from school they teach their younger brothers and sisters. Sometimes they also take charge of teaching their uneducated parents.
Three years back the situation was pretty bad in this village. There were no proper schooling facilities. The thinking of the people was very confined. When Educomp Solutions first wanted to open a school in this place they had to take a place on rent. They faced a lot of problems from the local people. The people of the place started thinking that the school would change the religious values of the children.
Now the school has its own campus with modern facilities. The school has a library, a computer lab and a music rehearsal hall. The school has its own set of activities. They teach their students to look forward in life. They install a lot of self confidence in their students. They teach the students not to back out from any kind of challenge that life throws at them.
Three years back Sajia was about to get married after she had completed her primary schooling. Sahid Afridi was already thinking that he would somehow drag through class 10 and then he would go to work in the fields with his brothers. Eshan on the other hand was unaware of what a career actually is. This was the situation then and it has changed drastically to reach the present scenario.
G.R Patil who is the principal of the school said that the he takes his students to participate in various events even at the city levels. Going there his students get a chance to meet a lot more students and realize what they lack in themselves. The students are exposed to a lot more variety and competition across the country. They realize the need to look forward in life. These things motivate the rural students to study more in search of a good life and career in future.
Now the school serves the regional 35 villages for education. People who had obstructed the formation of this school previously have now understood the need for education. They have taken their children out of the local schools and private schools and have started sending them to Universal Academy. They understand that proper English speaking capabilities are very essential for the future. They need to understand the need of education at a tender age.
