It is true that a lot of students are keen to go for higher education to make their career brighter. India is a country where there is no paucity of talent. However, the main hindrance for the students here for taking higher education is lack of money. Most of the students don't even get food twice a day easily. So, financial problem seems to be the most critical hindrance for most of the students for getting higher education.
Lack of renowned universities:
As per the higher education is concern, the renowned and reputed universities in India are not getting any kind of respectable rank when you compare it with all over the world. A ranking of different universities for higher studies has been published by QS World University Rankings have been published recently.
Any of the universities of India has not got any position even in the 200 ranking made on the basis of all around the globe. This is why, most of the talented students require going to abroad for completing their higher studies which becomes undoubtedly far more costly and often a lot of students cannot do it due to their poor financial condition.
Fewer students in higher studies:
It has been found from many an analysis that number of students who are going for higher studies is not satisfactory. Though in recent years, that number has surely been increased, still, it must be said that the number is not at all enough when you compare it with the other improved countries in the world. The Gross Enrollment Ratio is only 15% whereas the average GER is 26%. Now, an initiative has been taken by the Government to improve the GER rate to 30%. However, as per the present condition is concern, it will not be that easy to do so.
Employment problem is another big reason why a lot of students do not go for higher studies in India. Even if a student complete graduate and post graduate degrees they don't get a respectable job for them. It is quite clear, that the education given in the university and the skills which are needed to work in a company have a huge difference. So, this is why a lot of students do not feel the necessity of spending money for higher studies as they often don't get the respectable job by the help of which they can fulfill the amount or repay the loan taken from a bank.
Some other problems:
There are some other problems which are the biggest hindrance for higher education for most of the students. Lack of infrastructure in most of the institutions, paucity of new technologies, lack of skilled faculties in many institutions are some other reasons which are causing problems for higher education. Government and many private organizations are now trying their best to improve these infrastructural problems related to higher studies.
A lot of banks are now giving education loans so that the students do not face the financial hazard to go for the higher studies. Poverty is undoubtedly the main reason why more students are not coming in the arena of the higher studies. So, government and some other financial organizations have to come forward for solving this problem.
