Rural areas in India are always neglected in India for the proper development of India. If you compare the education level in rural areas in India with the city, you can surely see the difference. However, it is certainly required to be improved to develop the education system in India.
What are the problems in rural areas?
There are plenty of problems which the students face in the rural areas. Often they do not get proper infrastructure in school. Only Government schools are there but when you compare the quality of the education in a private school and these semi-government schools, the difference seems to be higher. Often the students do not get the text books. Even if some of the students get it, those are secondary level text books from which the students cannot learn properly. Lack of teachers is another crucial issue for these schools. Often it seems that only one teacher is teaching all the classes. Sometimes the students require going miles for reaching their schools. There are some of the schools which are over packed with the students because that is the only school in the vicinity.
Establishing more schools:
As the days are progressing, more and more parents in rural area understand the necessity of sending their children in schools. However, to do so, they need to have proper number of schools. As studying in private schools is very much expensive, more and more Government schools have to be established in villages. It is true that Government in both state and central level has taken necessary measures for that but they have to take more initiative so that the education can be spread more in the rural areas.
Provide free education:
Poverty is one of the most critical problems faced by the rural area people. Free education or education in a very small price can surely make more and more parents interested to send their children in school. Proper text books, library and laboratory facilities have to be provided. Government needs to provide all kinds of support for higher education to the students of rural areas.
School Infrastructure:
The infrastructure of the schools in rural areas must be improved. Adequate teachers are required for taking the classes. The teachers should be educated and skilled to train the students properly. All kinds of apparatus in the school laboratory should be present. Books can be supplied from the school library absolutely free.
Computer facility:
The facility of using computers and internet in the schools and collages of rural areas can help them a lot to improve the level of the study. Through internet the students will be able to acquire more knowledge and at the same time they will be able to know the outer world in far better way.
It is true that the education system of rural area has been improved a lot in the last 10 years. The Government has taken many necessary steps. People have become aware of the necessity of study. However, still the scope of improving is wide open and both Government and common people should try to do that to improve the condition of schools in rural areas.
