In India there are a lot of problems that are connected to the education system. We all think of women education as an essential part of our culture but the main reason that women do not opt for higher studies is the fact that education reduces their income and thief earning sources. This has been seen recently in a review.
The main reason for this is because women who do not have higher education earn an average of Rs 1.41 lakh per year, where as men who do not have formal or higher educations earn an average of about Rs 1.21 lakh per year. This goes to show that women are earning more in some fields like care departments and part time jobs.
On the other hand women with master degree and very high education levels are subject to an average income of Rs 2.70 lakh per year. On the other hand men with higher education and master degree earn an average of Rs 4.71 Lakh per year which is almost 40% more compared to women. This is an astonishing fact that does not encourage taking up education seriously.
These discriminations should be removed in order to encourage women to study more. They should be staged on the same level along with men so that they can reach higher levels in work stations. They think that the money spend on education is not worth the amount of earnings they are entitled to get for the work. They have more success in the field of teaching and care compared to the corporate sector.
The corporate sector employers do not want to hire women as they look at women as a potential mother. Every woman at some point of time will have responsibilities towards their families and children. They are destined to make good care takers of their families and responsibilities. Hence they are given very handsome pay packages in the hospitality management system.
Moreover when women grow older they tend to leave their jobs. Some women get bored with their jobs over tome and want to look at the other opportunities available to them. This is another reason why employers do not want to hire women. Not only that, while working they also take long breaks for their families and pregnancy issues. This also hampers work and the reputation as a dedicated employee.
Women have been good workers when they are o the team but they often leave the team making it weak. The pressures on a woman are too high to blame her for anything. The employers need to understand the situations that a woman has to go through in order to work and maintain a family at the same time.
Even if the discrimination cannot be eradicated completely, the discrimination should be less in order to give the women a chance to work with a motive. Once the discrimination is reduced and the pay scale is improved more and more women will take education seriously.
