The students need not face the problems of high cutoff marks. The foreign students can get admission through low cutoffs unlike other private institutions. Unlike other students, these foreign students do not require clearing the pre-university courses and can directly take the admission to any course according to their choice.
Good quality learning facility, qualified faculties and the use of English as the medium of teaching has attracted the African students to come to India and study for many years. Not only within Africa, Indian education has also been famous all over the world. The warm and kind nature of the Indian people, low living cost, varied religion and culture has been a reason for a keen interest for the foreigners all over the world.
Kenyan Sibabrata Tripathi said in an interview with IANS that Indian education is not so much costly. Affordable cost of education, less living and food cost, variable culture and ethics attract the foreign students. Use of English is the major priority reason for the interest among the foreigners. Moreover India welcomes its foreign students warmly. There are no such barriers given to the foreign students while they're residing in India. A foreign student community consisting students from different places is truly a relaxing reason for a foreigner to come to India for studying.
One of the major facilities offered to the students from foreign countries is that the respective colleges arrange all the facilities for visas. This facility not only helps the parents from wasting a lot of money and time for arranging visas and immigration papers but it also helps the student to quickly join the course without wasting any time.
Universities also provide scholarships to the meritorious African students. Tripathi said in the same interview that the African students are offered at least 100 scholarships each year for studying and getting training in India. These facilities are given under the ICCR (Indian Council for Cultural Relations) and ITEC i.e. India Technical and Economic Cooperation.
Indian education has been respected all over the world. It has also been observed that since past six years Indian universities have been successful with their initiatives and programmes.
