School is the most important part in everyone’s life. It is the institution where our foundation of being a good human being starts. The school gives the idea to live life mostly after finishing school. India has increased its literacy level at an amazing speed today. Here education system can be divided in two parts, at one side we see large private schools with all modern facilities and excellent environment for kids to grow up in, whereas on the other hand we see government schools which lack most of the essential infrastructure and discipline. Though in India now, the education system has been looked after as an important matter and the government has certainly given its acute attention into it. In spite of taking some major measures to install a great education system, problems still persist. These problems must be solved with effective solution or else our system will still be lacking a great part of up gradation.
If we take a deeper look into the government run education system that prevails in India, a number of problems gather which needs to be attended immediately. Among which some that needs to be noticed are:
· Lack of funding-it’s the inefficient fund that makes the system stagnant at a particular point. If the funds are utilized in the right place for the right reason, government aided institutions can also give competition to the lavish private schools out there. Through proper distribution of wealth one can assure positive results coming out.
· Lack of educators-teachers who are responsible for the upbringing of the children should be more enthusiastic about their occupation. If the teacher themselves is less energetic, then how come the students will get themselves involved in the studies? Educators must be given proper training to understand student psychology first and how making it more interesting for them so that the students feel an urge to come to school and take part in class with a sheer interest not forceful.
· Lack of Innovative methods-schools should adopt new and updated technologies and method of teaching in the classroom. It should maintain international standards to make sure proper education being given to every child. Involving new techniques not only ensure better outputs but also it helps the students to find out reasons to come to school for studies. Ways that are cost effective and easily available should be given more preference. Instead of giving the students' heavy home tasks, assignments, teachers must give stress on their overall growth. Education is not only about reading books and passing exam scoring high marks, it is about gaining knowledge to live a life that is healthy and wise.
· Lack of awareness-in India, many people live under poverty level. Their common perception is schooling is a waste of time, rather they send their child to earn a living from a very little age. We have to remove these misconceptions and grow more awareness among this deprived section of people. By introducing new courses like sewing, welding, mechanics, etc. besides the basic education, schools can help poor students gain not only bookish knowledge but also that is useful for their future career.
Thus if we take into consideration the above problems and take an initiative to solve the same, education in India can be in a better position. School is the most important stage in one’s life; it is the birth right of every child we must help them to live these precious moments which are hard to get when one grows up.
