The legal system of a country is amongst the most important things that people need to take care of. Law and order needs to be maintained with strict rules and regulations. Without proper law implications it could be very hard for people to roam about on the streets. The country would be under serious massacre if there is no proper law and order. These law and rules need to be taught to the people so that they can be followed.
Another important factor in the legal system is the presence of good lawyers and law protectors. The people who study the law are the legal protectors. The legal education system of the country has been facing a lot of problems in recent times. A lot of reforms need to be made in the legal education system in order to improve the situation of the law education in the country.
The vice chancellor of the NALSAR Hyderabad, made it very clear in his views about the changing needs in the legal system of the country due to the effects of globalization. Previously the laws were rigid and firm but now you have to look into the market conditions as well to establish the link between the law and the country.
He was furious about the current state of legal affairs in the country. He made harsh statements on the effects of globalization on the country’s legal system. He came to deliver a lecture on globalization and the third generation reforms across the world. This was at the Aligarh Muslim University. He was very clear about what he wanted. He was not happy with the legal education that was being provided in the country. He wanted to bring in certain reforms.
According to him some of the international laws that were being enacted across the world was gaining more importance that the laws of the country. The World trade rules and financial rules were being preferred over the Indian laws. He wanted to bring in reforms in the legal education system to make provisions for these laws in the country’s legal system.
He himself was a student of the Aligarh Muslim University. He came from the ranks of the great faculty the college had. This college has alone been responsible for giving the country eight vice chancellors in the past. He wants to preserve the strong history and the heritage the university has had over the years. He suggested that this college should be the place where the transformation should begin for the future.
He insisted on the fact that the syllabus should be changed so that the students get more knowledge about the social and business laws. He also had a lot to criticize on the current master’s course in legal education in the country. He stated that the Indian Masters course was two years which was too long compared to the course in other countries that is only for one year.
