Ever since the 1990's privatization in the department of education in India has resulted in numerous sweeping changes. In the cases of undergraduate education, privatization has spread to such a level, that admission in government schools is an option for only those kids whose parents can't afford getting their kid educated in private schools. It has created a vast amount of difference between several schools.
The level of education in schools needs to be equalized on all planes:
The standard of education is not longer the same all over the country. With private schools providing a better education to school students, parents now have no option but to spend their hard earned money to ensure that their kid receives the best education possible. This problem needs to be reformed. The teaching program in the Government Schools has to be improved so that students from all the social classes have the ability to participate in a fair competition. The level of education at the school level needs improvement.
This change will also help parents who can't afford to put their kids in private schools but do so anyway because they want to give their kids all the opportunities to have a bright and a great future.
Private Education at the College level:
Ever since education was privatized in the country, private colleges and universities have been sprouting up all over the country giving their students false hopes of a bright future. In the case of college education, it is the government institutes and universities which provide the authentic education which very few private colleges can match.
In the past couple of years many students have had their careers destroyed because of being scammed by private schools which are not Government recognized but posed to be so. These colleges have duped thousands of students into submitting their fees and ruining their careers. They provide under qualified and shoddy teachers to the students so as to give an appearance of authenticity.
How to avoid being scammed when applying to private colleges:
Students need to be aware about the problems in private education so that when they apply to any private college they are absolutely sure about the authenticity of the college. In most cases getting into a government college is the best option. However, since the seats in these reputed colleges are limited very few students are able to get in. For most students getting admitted in private universities or colleges is the only other valid option. However, it is important to understand that not all private colleges are bad options. Several good and excellent private colleges are actually either affiliated or recognized by the government. As students it is your right to know about the authenticity of these colleges.
So before applying to any private college it is always recommended to do a complete background check of the college. There are many online websites which give details of all the government recognized colleges as well as their ranks. So students should go over these websites as well as consult with other professionals before committing their coming years to such colleges. After all your future is in your hands and you should always take the necessary steps to ensure that it is safe and secure.
