The fourth annual DMU leadership conference aims to aid DMU managers in developing a shared vision and understanding of how staff at DMU can flourish in times of significant and rapid change.
Looking at a variety of themes in workshops, the conference will allow delegates to consider the impact of change on their teams and develop ideas, plans and action points which will affect the university as a whole.
The conference is open to all leaders and managers of staff and areas of work in any area of De Montfort University and those who aspire to lead and manage.
Keynote: Jan Sobieraj – Managing Director NHS Leadership Academy
Jan was appointed Managing Director of the NHS Leadership Academy shortly after its launch in April 2012. Jan is an Honorary Professor of De Montfort University, a visiting Senior Fellow at Sheffield Hallam University, trustee of the London Leadership Centre and a Governor of the Health Foundation.
Over the last 30 years of his management career, Jan has been passionate about working in partnership with leaders, staff, patients and trade unions to improve healthcare.
Workshop topics
Highly interactive workshops will cover motivation, health and well-being, finance, internationalisation, technology and the university as a public good.
