ACUMEN'' 14 ECE has decided to motivate students of electronic and various other branches of Engineering towards taking up a career in the field of Bio- Medical Engineering. Today a doctor can diagnose a disease with help of electronic equipment built by engineers. Electronics has Been playing an important role in Medical research for past few years. The marriage between Electronics and Medicine will be the future of engineering. This made many American universities to introduce a new field known and Bio-medical engineering and spending millions of Dollars towards Bio-Medical research to develop bionics, prosthetics , diagnosing equipment etc. ACUMEN'' 14 will be useful for students to understand the growing importance of Electronic Engineer in the field of Engineering.
ACUMEN is a National Level Technical Symposium Organized by The Department of Electronics And Communication of Vasavi College of Engineering, Hyderabad. Acumen triggered off in the year 1996. First of its kind , It was an immense success in providing a platform for students to showcase and test one''s knowledge and talent in various fields of Electronics and Communication. It has come a long way to become one of the major technical festivals in the state.
Main motive of acumen is "Youth, Technology, Future", which asserts the fact that the future of Technology lies in the hands of youth. This time its getting even larger and more gigantic than it ever has been. ACUMEN has been a Juggernaut among the various technical fests of the city Competing with fests like IIT''s and NIT''s.
