Currents is the annual technical symposium of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering of NIT Trichy.Currents provides the perfect platform to showcase technical guile, compete with the best minds in the nation and most important of all, draw inspiration in the minds of young india. It offers a surfeit of 8 mind-blowing events,8 state- of-the-art workshops and the best guest lectures from the most intellectual and experienced academicians and industrialists. Recent editions have seen the event grow infinitely, with the latest edition bearing witness to this fact, recording an unheralded footfall of over three thousand participants.
With the advent of Outreach events we are able to reach out to potential candidates through out India. Over the past years, 30+ colleges have energetically participated in our workshops conducted in various cities. The Outreach events for Currents 2016 were held at Bangalore and Vijayawada simultaneously during the dates 23-24 January 2016. IoT Challenge focussing on the current issues of social concern namely Energy, Waste management, Transport, Health has been announced as a prime event of Currents 2016 at NIT Trichy as it helps in solving problems which require immediate action in today's world. Using the most advanced student friendly microcontrollers and microprocessors of Texas instrument participants will be able to participate in the above mentioned event and stand a chance to grab a cash prize of 50000.
