At the Welcome Weekend you can:
- Explore the SU spaces, cafes, bars and shops - our cafe-bars are a huge hit with all students thanks to the fantastic menus and unbeatable value. Our shops offer great meal deals, and the Grand Parade shop offers a wide range of art and design essentials. Check out what your campus has to offer!
- Find out about Freshtival and all the events going on over the fortnight - you will already have your Essential Guide with all Freshtival information, and the line up will be online, but if you want to chat with us about anything this is the perfect opportunity. Find out from other Freshers which events everyone is most excited about!
- Buy and collect your Freshtival AAA wristband - these will be on sale from 16th August, and ONLY available online. We expect to sell out before the Welcome Weekend, but if we have any spare you'll be able to buy one. If you have already bought yours then you'll be able to collect it, but keep it safe - it's your ticket for every Freshtival event. We will also be selling individual tickets to some events.
- Meet other Freshers living in your Halls and studying on your course - once you have moved in to your new home, said your tearful goodbyes to your loved ones and unpacked your suitcase, it's time to meet some other Freshers and make new friends. At your nearest hub you'll be able to meet your new coursemates, as well as other people living in your Halls and studying on your campus. By the end of the two weeks you'll have started some great friendships that will last for University and beyond.
- Take part in loads of games and competitions - we will have plenty to keep you entertained throughout both days, keep checking this page and our Facebook and Twitter accounts for the latest news. The hubs are also the perfect place to get together for a drink each night before heading into town.
Plus loads more! So once you have moved in to your Halls or house, grab your new housemates and come down to your nearest hub. We look forward to welcoming you to Brighton Students' Union!
