Moneta is a national level financial market event organized by S. P. Mandali’s R.A. Podar College of Commerce and Economics annually. It is an inter-collegiate festival in existence since 2009 and is held usually in the month of December.

The event intends to encompass the whole spectrum of financial knowledge and to inculcate a financial acumen amongst the participants to operate situations surfacing in the increasingly complex financial markets today. Competitions varying from the world sensitive events such as the Euro Debt Crisis to insightful events such as the CFO Challenge are some of the highlights of Moneta.
*HISTORY

Moneta is the brainchild of the Students of R.A. Podar College. A one-of-a kind financial event, it first began in the year 2009. Over the years, Moneta has managed to achieve what it was conceptualized for; creating financial literacy amongst the Gen-next of India.

Over the years, Moneta has managed to draw around 10000 participants pan India with presence from premier institutions throughout the country ranging across Management schools, B-schools, Engineering colleges and Undergraduate colleges.

Moneta has also been associated with the crème de la crème of the financial industry witnessing their presence during the various events, seminars and workshops which include the likes of Mr. G.N. Bajpai (Ex-chairman of LIC and SEBI), Mr. Niranjan Hiranandani (Chairman and MD of Hiranandani Constructions), Ms. Shaheen Mistri (CEO - Teach for India & Founder, The Akanksha Foundation), Ms. Devita Saraf (CEO - Vu Technologies), Mr. Arvind Talekar (Representative - The Dabbawallahs of Mumbai.)
