The new IIMs will be situated at Visakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh), Bodh Gaya (Bihar), Sirmaur (Himachal Pradesh), Nagpur (Maharashtra), Sambalpur (Odisha) and Amritsar (Punjab).
Every establishment will begin with an admission of 140 students for the post-graduate course, the leader project of the IIMs, confirmation for which will be through CAT.
"It is normal that the yearly admission will increment to achieve a level of 560 students before seven years' over," the legislature said in a discharge here after the Union Cabinet gave its gesture to the proposition.
