In a new move to ensure the aadhaar enrollment of every citizen, CBSE has partnered with the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). Under this new move the aadhar enrollment centers will be set up at the CBSE affiliated schools which will also encourage the students to enroll for the same.
The circular in this regard was published by the CBSE on Thursday which said "the schools volunteering and desirous to extend their facilities for Aadhaar enrolment centers shall have to sign separate Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CBSE or UIDAI, as the case maybe. Schools shall set up enrolment centers to facilitate their bona fide students, teachers, staff and their family members to enroll for Aadhar and make any updates or corrections, it said in the circular."
The circular further said that computers, bio-metric machines and other such equipments will be the responsibility of the school and will have to be procured by the schools strictly according to the specifications given by UIDAI.
Schools for this will be enrolled by the UIDAI and upon the successful completion of the Aadhaar card enrolment will be paid by the CBSE INR 30 per child enrollment on the basis of data provided by the schools.
