The importance of the NCERT books in a student's life can't be overstated. From fetching good marks in the boards' examinations to preparing for the civil services exams, these books are recommended to a large variety of students. Though they are priced cheaply, their availability isn't satisfactory.
In order to resolve the availability issues and to cut down on the long wait of the candidates, the HRD Ministry has come out with the e-paathshala app recently. Through this mobile application, the ministry aims to bring study materials of all the subjects right at the fingertips of the students.
Designed to be in line with the ministry's initiative of learning on the go, the app would be freely accessible to all the students, teachers and the parents. The access to these books in the mobile form is a new concept in the country. Available in both Hindi and English, the students can download the book chapter wise according to his or her requirement. It also allows the parents to keep a track of their kids' progress.
The HRD Minister was quoted as saying, "Through these mobile apps and website e-pathshala, students, parents and teachers can access study material online. ePathshala is a technology-enabled educational product which changes the way students learn anywhere and anytime."
Irani further added, "We would also put out in public that NCERT has its own sales counter in Ajmer, Bhopal, Shillong, Bhubneswar, Mysuru, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Guwahati and New Delhi, from where schools can procure these books in bulk."
