"The state government is committed to offer value-based education and responsible human resources to the society" said Andhra Pradesh HRD minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao.
The minister also said that the budgetary allocation in the education sector has been increased from 10 per cent to 17.5 per cent to boost the state education.
Steps taken for the improvement
- Education is the only tool which has the strength to change the world, said the minister.
- The minister said, "We have been taking several steps to improve the infrastructure of schools and to provide quality teachers to students. Even though the state has been pushed into a financial crisis of Rs 16,000 crore, chief minister Chandrababu Naidu, who is keen on making the state a knowledge hub, allocated Rs 21,000 crore for the education sector.
Technology is changing the globe
He said that it is necessary to adapt with the changing technologies in the world. "That is why we are establishing smart classrooms.
He also said "We are developing 4,000 model schools and 5,000 digital classrooms. If we don't catch up with the changing trends, we will remain lag behind."
