Widely regarded as one of the best higher education institutes in the country, the Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has invited applications from the aspirants of various medical courses offered by the University. The applications for the same would need to be filed through the entrance test portal of BHU which is available on its website. The last date for the registration of the application is 4th March, 2017.
Applications have been invited for courses including Post Graduate, Under Graduate, and Diploma/Certificate programmes for 2017 session. Although no official date is out yet, it is speculated that the examination would take place in May 2017.
The following is the admission criteria for the various courses –
·For applying to MBBS and BDS courses - Candidate must submit their NEET score card and candidates who have applied for NEET 2017 must submit their score card after the declaration of result not later by 15 days.
·For applying to the MD and MS courses - Candidates who have Qualified AIPGDEE-2017.
·For applying to the MDS course - Candidates who have Qualified AIPGDEE-2017.
·For applying to the DM/MCh course - Candidates who have Qualified NEET (SS)-2017.
The BHU would conduct exams for some other courses such as B.Sc Nursing; MD and MS (Ayurveda); BAMS, B. Pharma (Ayurveda), and BNYS; BAMS, B. Pharma (Ayurveda), and BNYS; and M. Pharma (Ayurveda).
The application fee is as follows –
·For under graduate courses the fee is Rs. 1000 only (for General and OBC candidates), application fees for PC, SC & ST candidates is Rs. 600 only.
