Major changes introduced by the CBSE
This year board introduced some significant changes in the school education system to make it more effective. One such change is the restoration of the board exams in class 10 from academic session 2017-2018.
The Board remodeled assessment scheme of Class 10 Board examination. "The examination from academic year 2017-18 and onward will be conducted according to the new model. Under the new scheme, students will have to study six subjects instead of the usual 5 subjects in class 10," the CBSE notice said.
From this year, CBSE also dropped its academic electives and vocational subjects due to less number of students taking them every year.
