The Bihar Board class 12 results were declared on May 30 in which more than 7 lakh students got failed out of 12,40,168 who appeared for the exams. This alone was humiliating for the Bihar government and to add insult to the injury the topper of the intermediate exam is again in controversy this year which lead the Board to remove his name from the list of toppers.
Ganesh Kumar who topped the arts stream has been arrested by the police for hiding his age in the exams. BSEB chairman said that he hide his age and changed his name just so that he can reappear in the exams. He claimed his age to be 24 but he turned out be 42 years old and is a father of 2 children and his real name is Ganesh Ram. An FIR has been lodged against him and certificates of both the exams he had appeared for has been cancelled by the authorities.
Has no knowledge of basics about the music
Ganesh had difficult time in explaining about what is 'sur', 'taal' and 'mantra', which are the basics of music. When asked about what he did in music practical, he, in a coarse voice sang a random Bollywood number.
According to the reports from TOI "He cheated the board by manipulating his age. So his name has been removed from the toppers' list. However, there is no problem with his performance in the board exam. An FIR has been lodged against him and the schools from which he appeared for the Class 10 and Class 12 examinations in 2015 and 2017, respectively," said Kishor.
In a similar incident, last year, the humanities topper Ruby Rai was accused of cheating in the board exam and was arrested by the police for the same.
