The qualifying round of The Sweden India Nobel Memorial Quiz was won by the team representing Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Technology at the Centre for Environmental Planning & Technology University, Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
Anirudh, Kunal and Harsh were a part of the winning team that made their college proud by their commendable performance in the qualifying round. The qualifying round saw participation in huge numbers, by avid quizzers from numerous colleges and technical institutes across the city of Ahmedabad. The winners received their prize from Mr. Jan Cambell-Westlind, Consul, Consulate General of Sweden in Mumbai. In the regional round of the intercollegiate quiz, participation was open to all college teams and the event was hosted by Quiz Master Kunal Savarkar.
The National Finals will be held on November 1, 2014, in the Hindu College, University of Delhi, New Delhi. Winners of the regional round from will represent their respective cities at the National Finals.
Apart from Ahmedabad, the quiz will also be held in Guwahati, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Chennai, Indore, Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai and New Delhi.
The prize for the national winners comprises of an all-expenses paid trip to Sweden where they will get the opportunity to visit the Nobel Museum, Swedish Universities and the headquarters of global Swedish companies among other things.
The Swedish companies which are partnering for this year's Sweden India Nobel Memorial Week include ABB, Atlas Copco, Ericsson, IKEA, SAAB, Sandvik, Scania, SEB, SKF, Tetrapak, Volvo Cars and Volvo India.

Celebrated in the memory of Swedish entrepreneur, innovator & philanthropist, Alfred Nobel, The Sweden India Nobel Memorial Week is a high-profile, multi-city, multi-activity annual event organized by the Embassy of Sweden in India in cooperation with Swedish companies.
The Sweden India Nobel Memorial Week 2014, which is the eighth edition of the week, will take place across ten cities from October 26 to November 1, 2014.
