"The news of the tragic demise of Shri Vilasrao Deshmukh has distressed his friends, admirers and colleagues beyond words. I am overwhelmed with a sense of grief and shock at the tragic news of the passing away of my friend and senior colleague Vilasrao Deshmukh ji. Though he had not been keeping well for a long time but none could have imagined that the end was so near."
