Online registration procedure of DU for the undergraduate courses began from May 22 and according to the schedule the admission process for the post graduate courses was to set on May 31 but under the certain unavoidable circumstances it got delayed and was re-scheduled for the June 7.
Now, according to the reports from TOI, the registration process for the online entrance test for the undergraduate and postgraduate courses has got delayed for another week. The reasons for the delay are some unexpected technical glitches in the system and online admission procedure for Master, Masters of Philosophy and Doctorate of Philosophy will began from the 12th of June.
DU officials mentioned that "the registration for entrance test to UG courses will begin from same date as that of post graduate courses".
Stating the reasons for the delay, Ashutosh Bhardwaj, the officer on special duty for admissions, in a recent TOI report said, "Our software experts are incorporating these changes into the software as we want glitch free admissions".
"We had several glitches in the earlier system. We wanted to make the criteria changes once the system was glitch-free," added Bhardwaj.
The university has also invited the applications from the economically weaker section of the society for providing free coaching classes in order to help them prepare for the postgraduate admission test.
Free classes will be conducted for two weeks in the following disciplines:
Registration starting date for the PG courses: June 12
Last date for the registration: June 20
