Recently, a student managed to bag a package of Rs. 1.02
crore. That student is studying at Delhi University's esteemed Faculty of
Management Studies (FMS).
The institution's highest domestic pay package for this year
stood at Rs. 66 lakh per annum, which is Rs. 31 lakh more than last year and it
managed to get 100 per cent placements.
An increase of 20 per cent in the package was noticed than
last year, as the average pay package this year was Rs. 20.5 lakh.
According to FMS officials, a total of 210 students had
participated in the placement drive this year, during which various companies
from different domains participated. Some of them included EY Consulting,
Accenture Strategy, Star India and ITC.
A placement report states that 26 per cent of the batch got
placed in consulting roles. Those being offered the finance roles this year saw
a 30 per cent increase than last year. Companies like Adobe, Coca-Cola, GAIL,
Heinz, HT Media, Microsoft, Nestle, and PepsiCo recruited from FMS in the sales
and marketing sector.
Those selecting students in finance roles are American
Express, Deutsche Bank, Edelweiss, Morgan Stanley, Standard Chartered, Trident
Group, Vodafone and Yes Bank, among others.
