IIT Delhi has been selected as the organizing institute for the GATE exam in 2020. The institute has released the important dates, eligibility criteria and other details regarding the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) due in 2020. According to the schedule, the exam will be held on February 1, 2 and February 8, 9, 2020 and the online application process for the same will commence from September 2019. GATE 2020 will be conducted for a total of 25 subjects and will be a computer-based test (CBT).
The online application process for the GATE 2020 will commence from September 3, 2019 through the GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS). The online registration window will remain open until September 24, 2019 and the extended last date for the application will be October 1, 2019.
The GATE exam is a test which is jointly conducted by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore and the seven Indian Institutes of Technology (at Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras and Roorkee).
GATE is a mandatory exam which is required for the candidates who wishes to pursue Master’s and Doctoral programs in Engineering/Technology/Architecture from the institutions supported by the MHRD and government agencies.
