On Wednesday, Greater Visakhapatnam Smart City Corporation Limited (GVSCCL) announced that it had entered into a three-year long partnership with IL&FS education and Technology Services Ltd. to provide the Google's education solutions to the schools in the coastal city.
IL&FS education and Technology Services Ltd is a premier partner of Google in education service domain.
IL&FS will not only provide the solutions but also, training, software, certification and hardware to 31 schools in the coastal areas.
This announcement was made on the occasion of the India Foundation Day for Smart Cities Mission and the main of the partnership is to create the future ready and internet connected classrooms to keep with the Smart City mission.
A statement from the official said "Google's education offering enables the students to learn using open web technologies, including apps and interactive content".
Under the partnership, the schools will be provided with the chrome-books loaded with the Gsuite for education which will be available in both English and Telgu. The chrome-book will come with the Chrome Management Console (CMC) which will provide secure and managed learning experience to the students.
