In an interview
to the press, Union HRD minister Prakash Javadekar said that the development of
the country is directly dependent on the quality of the education provided by
the state and the central government. The minister added that the government was
taking concrete and effective steps to provide quality education to the youth
of the country.

foundation stone of the Central School at Budayan village in Jind district,
While addressing the
public meeting at Budayan, the minister said that the school building would be
constructed at a cost of Rs. 18 crore and should be ready in next one and half
years of time. The school will have all kind of facilities for the students.
The minister also
added that there are about 27 crore students in the country which make use of
the 15 Lakhs Schools, 38000 Colleges and 700 Universities. About 1 crore of
teachers are employed across the country to impart education to the students.
To maintain the
quality of education about 3000 schools are being added in the country every
year. The minister emphasized the role of the teachers and said that the
teachers have a very important role in imparting education to the youth of this
country. The minister also praised the efforts of the Haryana Chief Minister
Manohar Lal Khattar for the development work being carried out by the state.
