The merit of the students of Gujarat who qualified the NEET2017 exam was declared on Thursday. All the qualified students are eligible for taking admissions into Medical, Dental, Ayurvedic and Homeopathy colleges.
The qualified candidates had appeared for the NEET 2017 entrance exam for graduate courses in MBBS, Bachelor of Dental Surgery or postgraduate course i.e. Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Surgery in government or private medical colleges in India.
The released list carries the details of the students such as Roll Number, Percentile Rank, Category, Score and All-India Rank. This year more than 60,000 students appeared for the NEET exam and 22970 students qualify the same.
Students according to various categories
- 1,445 students from Scheduled Tribes;
- 1,869 students from Schedule Castes;
- 7,998 students from OBC
According to the reports there are 3630 seats in medical colleges and over 6000 seats in the medical allied seats in the state of Gujarat. The highest score from the Gujarat state was 681 out of 720 and the same student's all India rank was 23. The second on the list was candidate with the score of 680 followed by the candidates with score 671, 670 and 668.
Online admissions to start soon
Now that the results have been declared, officials have confirmed that the online admission process will be activated soon and all the details regarding the same including deadlines will be released in coming two days.
