IILM College of Engineering and Technology, Greater Noida has scaled new heights with the college team having being selected as one of the four teams that will represent India at the NASA Rover Challenge 2014, being held at the US space & Rocket center Huntsville, Texas, USA. The competition will be held on 10-12 April 2014. The participation is being sponsored by the college.
The team comprising of Aastha Singh, Awatansh Srivastava, Anshu Roy, Brijesh Kumar Rai and Lalit Kumar are all Final Year B.Tech (Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering) students of the College. The team during the competition will have to fabricate a prototype Moonbuggy and demonstrate its viability to the team at NASA. If their model is found to be successful and selected, then this prototype will be launched on Moon by the next mission from NASA.
This team has been consistently winning Robotics tournaments organized at various IIT's across the country. The Management and faculty of the College have been relentlessly supporting the students throughout this eventful journey and wishes the team all the very best for this prestigious event.
