Education Ministry of Madhya Pradesh issued an order for the students of MP schools following which they will have to say 'Jai Hind' on their roll calls. But the Chatarpur district of the state is suffering from greater issues- lack of basic amenities in the school and this time basic amenities include school building as well.
A close survey on the position of education in the district revealed that all the claims made by the education department of the state were lies. Students of this school are studying in the open from past three years because the school does not have the official school building.
According to the students and teachers the midday meal is not served on time in the school and there is no action being taken to clean the toilets and toilets lack the facility of water as well.
Chhotu, one of the students of Bagrajan School said "there is a constant fear of accidents because of classes being conducted on roads, and told that the students have been waiting for a school building for three years".
Another student informed that school is not serving the food from some days now and for food students have to bring their own utensils from the house.
The teachers told that classes are conducted in open and during the sunny and rainy days we have to make arrangements accordingly.
“We have to sit under the sun and let the children sit under the shade, which poses risk to our health. We still try our best to provide them education,” guest teacher Abdul Haq told ANI.
“We are constantly shifting classes depending on weather conditions, and have rented a room for the same. While students are running around, teachers also have to run after them to ensure their safety which risks the lives of both students and teachers,” assistant teacher RajendraGoswami said.
