KHARAGPUR: Kshitij, the Annual Techno-management fest of IIT
Kharagpur, is Asia's largest techno-management fest. Since its inception in
2004, the stature and reach of this fest has grown multi-fold.
Kshitij attracts participation of over 65000 students from
1400 colleges across the nation. The combined prize money for all the
competitions last year was INR 65 Lakhs. Kshitij has gained impressive
patronage from the UNESCO, SAYEN and CEE. Such is the scale and grandeur of
this fest.
The major composition of Kshitij includes events, guest
lectures, workshops and exhibitions. Kshitij is a great platform where students
from across India interact, compete, witness and learn about contemporary
technical and managerial stuff. The team Kshitij engages in organizing
workshops across major cities each year, and has a very impressive history of
organizing Robotics workshops in Kolkata every year.
Last year, the total participation was to the tune of 1200
students. This year's number is expected to be higher.
The aim of this workshop is to let students get a flavor of
the details and applications of this field. The workshop shall not only
introduce robotics to the students, rather help them gain serious grounds of understanding
and knowledge.
This year, the workshop is scheduled on November, 8 between
9:30 am and 1 pm at VidyaMandir Auditorium, Kolkata.
