University of Mumbai has already missed its extended deadline of August 5 to declare the results and still, more than 2 lakh answer sheets need to be corrected. On Friday, the university was able to correct only 25,762 answer sheets, which led to further delay in the results of the university.
Last week, around 3000 teachers were able to check around 1,00,000 answer sheets on day but with the new week as they resume their official duties as a teacher the assessment stopped around 25,000 answer sheets.
Officials of the university had declared the August 5 as the date of declaration of results after they miss the deadline of August 5 but, seeing the slow down in the assessment process it is speculated that results will be delayed even further.
As of now, more than 2 lakh exam sheets of the commerce section needs to be corrected. The university is declaring the results gradually but with lower number of results coming out everyday. On Friday, only 25 results were declared by the University.
