The Union Government is contemplating launching the 'Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya National Mission on Teachers and Teaching'. This ambitious scheme would focus on the complete education framework in the country without dividing it into any further sections.
It would essentially work on enhancing the strength of the vertical and lateral linkages, based on the different levels. It would also further consolidate the currently operational programs which are working for the betterment of education.
One of the major features of this program is that it is aimed at boosting the existing educational infrastructure in the country to aid teacher training at all the levels.
This information was put forward by the Union HRD Minister, Smriti Irani, in the Lok Sabha.
