Students who did not get admission into any of the DU's full time course now, have a new reason to cheer because they can take some interesting new short term courses from DU which will not only help in enhancing the professional skills but will also keep the students busy. Many professionals are getting enrolled into these courses as these courses will open the gates to new frontiers for them.
Short term or part time courses are generally meant for those who wish to add some extra skills in their CV and expand their current knowledge set which will help them in their job profile.
These courses are also available for the regular students of the DU and those who are interested can apply for the course they are interested in with their respective college. But, for registration they are required to fulfill the eligibility criteria.
How to apply?
The procedure to apply is very simple. In order to apply, interested candidates are required to visit the office of Department of Adult, Continuing Education and Extension (Faculty of Social Science). Visiting timings are 10 am to 5 pm on weekdays.
10+2 is the minimum required qualification for the courses and candidates are required to submit the application form along with the relevant documents before the last date of admission, which is mentioned in the official notification.
Procedure for selecting candidates
Admissions of the candidates will be done on the basis of the educational qualification of the candidate and his/her performance in the interview. Weightage wise distribution will 80 and 20, which means that 80 percent weightage will be given to the educational qualification of the candidate and 20 percent to the interview round.
The fee structure for all the offered courses are very low and vary between INR 1000 to INR 4500 and timings are also very flexible so that students and professionals can easily manage their schedule.
