According to an announcement made by Times Higher Education
regarding 200 top most international universities in the world, it was found
that there is not even a single Indian higher education institute that has
qualified that list.
The crown for number one went to London as being the world's
number one city for international universities. London has more than top 200
institutions as compared to whole of the US, Canada and France combined.
The list contains institutions from 28 countries but none of
them are from India.
The ranking is based from compilation of data containing
each institution's proportion of international staff, proportion of
international students and proportion of research papers with help of one
author from another country.
The institution that has topped the list is Qatar University
and it's the first time that a Middle Eastern institution has topped the list.
From last five years, it was leader Ecole Polytechnique
Federale de Lausanne in Switzerland that was topping the list. This time it has
slipped to fourth place.
The rest of the list includes- University of Luxembourg
(second), University of Hong Kong (third), University of Geneva (fifth),
University of Macau (sixth), ETH Zurich - Swiss Federal Institute of Technology
Zurich (seventh), University of St Gallen (eighth) and the National University
of Singapore (ninth).

thinks globally clearly marks its presence as a prestigious university. They
hire international faculty and attract students globally producing top talent.

with its unique culture. It has an appeal that's why it attracts the brightest
