In an effort to give something back to the society, all civil servants in Patna have decided to give classes in government schools, so that they can keep a check on their functioning. It seems to be an unparalleled move by the civil servants. The noble initiative is highly praised by the government and is scheduled to start on the occasion of Republic Day in Patna district.
All districts, divisional, ADMs, BDOs and others have decided to spend one week in taking classes in government schools. The officers would devote their time in giving career counseling, giving classes on etiquettes, hygiene and co-curricular activities. The officers would teach the subjects of their specialization for an hour in a week in the morning. In the later stage, police officials will also be added to this.
This initiative will not only help to improve the quality of education but also keep a tab on the school infrastructure, quality of mid-day meals and the attendance of teachers. The officials would also visit the areas where students are not attending classes which would help in enhancing the number if enrollments in the schools. Furthermore, they will also be submitting reports on all types of issues encountered by them.
