Rajya Sabha MP Rajeev Chandrasekhar wrote a letter to HRD Minister Javadekar in which he raised the issue child safety in school. This step was taken in reference to the death of eight-year old schoolgirl in Noida. In the letter the MP urged the HRD minister to take a closer look at the safety guidelines in school for the children.
"The parents were devastated with the sudden and untimely death of their child and have approached me to ensure justice for their deceased child," MP Chandrasekhar said in a letter adding "I consider the issue relating to the safety of children as deeply important and so also the crimes committed upon them."
Issue of physical safety in school
"Lack of proper child safety guidelines outlining the responsibilities and the accountability of the schools in our country should be questioned," said the minister as he raised a serious concern of 'physical safety' at schools.
The eight year old girl Ghazal Yadav passed away on January 31, 2017 after she participated in Karate Competition at school.The parents of the deceased filed the case of negligence against the school are concerned that concerned authorities are not taking
any strict actions.
