There have been reports of massive copying in the high school and intermediate examinations of Uttar Pradesh Madhymik Shiksha Board, considering which the UP government has decided that the students will have to re appear for the exams.
About 2015 student out of which 698 are girls, were found copying in the examinations.
The proposal for conducting the examinations again was made by the principal secretary of the department, by Jitendra Kumar
This proposal had been put forward to UP chief secretary Alok Ranjan. In the review meeting, he contended that if in a particular centre the students secure above 90 per cent marks plus there is a similarity in language and hand writing, the examination will be held again.
The official statement that has been issued confirms the decision of Ranjan.
To enhance the quality of education and ensure the repair of the buildings and furniture of the schools he also issued strict directives.
Also he propelled the chief ministers Akhilesh Yadav's 'clean school-green school' drive.
From this academic year about 100 model schools under the CBSE pattern have been opened. He gave instructions to complete the selection of the teachers for these schools.
