The registration window for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) will open from tomorrow. Application forms will be available online and candidates can apply until December 31 for the exam. The exam is a National level entrance test for admissions into MBBS courses offered by the colleges and universities in India. The exam will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
Students who have passed class 12th exams with core subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English are eligible to appear in the exam. Candidates who are in the 12th class or in the +2 second year can also apply for the exam.
There are now a total of 75,000 seats for the MBBS students who will qualify the NEET exam. The data was shared by the Minister of State for the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Ashwini Kumar Choubey.
The exam will be conducted in the pen-paper mode on OMR sheets where candidates are required to mark the right answer against the respective question.
As per previous NEET notifications, "In order to be eligible for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses for a particular academic year, it shall be necessary for a candidate to obtain a minimum of marks at 50th percentile in National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test to MBBS/BDS Courses held for the said academic year."
