This March Nashik will gain a cluster of bright minds from across the country with Aayam being held on 1st & 2nd March 2013. Sandip Foundation is giving away prizes worth Rs. 3, 00, 000 with over 300 colleges expected to be part of the event. The event will congregate an array of events such as Blind Coding, Virtual Treasure Hunt, Robo Race, Lathe War, Robo Task & many more. The organisers expect a footfall of over 5,000 students.
The theme for this year is 'Battle of Brains', which holds the core objective of Technical education. "In technical education we are battling with constant technology upgradation and at the same time we are at war with each other to invent the next big thing. This ideology fits perfect and is represented in our theme for Aayam 2013" quoted the organising committee.
The fiesta will be held by Sandip Institute of Technology & Research Centre (SITRC), one of the two engineering colleges at the institute. The festival is expected to invite a cluster of personalities from the industry who will judge & guide the students.
To elaborate about the event Sandip Kumar Jha, the Chairman of the institution quoted "Events are an important part of any college life. Whatever be the stream of education, education assists the students for testing & enhancing their knowledge. For the same we pay special emphasis on events and especially for Aayam which is a technical festival involving various activities and competitions around Engineering. Engineering being a practical application Aayam will play an important part for the careers of the participating students". With a plethora of events and innovation Aayam could be the epitome of Technical Events in the near future.
