After the brutal murder of a student in Gurgaon, the education department of Lucknow has asked the schools to take strict measures to ensure the safety of children and also asked to ban the use of smartphones by drivers and conductors.
Schools have also been asked to ensure that children do not bring any sharp edged instrument along with them in school transport.
The orders came after a school boy was found murdered in Gurgaon School. The dead body of the boy was found in the school toilet with his throat slit. As of now, police have arrested the school conductor in relation to the case.
District Inspector of Schools Mukesh Kumar Singh told PTI that the use of smartphones by the drivers and conductors have been banned many times because many times smartphones are used to show objectionable content to the children.
