One of the most awaited exams of the year is finally here, with the SSC (Staff Selection Commission) announcing that it would come out with the official notification for the SSC CHSL exam 2016 on October 8th. The first round of the exam would be a written exam, after which the successful candidates would be subjected to the typing or skill test by the commission for the final selection.
The candidates are read the notification from the official website of the commission ̢ www.ssc.nic.in. Last year, this exam was conducted in a couple of phases, from November 1 to 15 and from December 6 to 22. More than 20 lakh candidates appeared for the exam last year, which shows its immense popularity among the youth in the country.
Candidates for a number of junior administrative posts are selected with the help of the CHSL exam by the SSC each year. The recruited candidates are posted as lower division clerks and data entry operators at various ministries and other government organizations. Clearing the typing or skill test is mandatory for the candidates in order to be successful in the CHSL.
Earlier, the notification was due to be introduced in the month of August. But it would come out on 8th August only due to certain technical issues. There are also inputs from the sources that the exam may be turned into a computer based exam. This, however would only be clear once the notification is out.
