It is known that Business model is a method of doing business by which an enterprise can generate revenue to sustain itself with the implication that the model spells out how the enterprise adds value to create a product or service. As businesses, government agencies and individuals connect and interact across public and private networks around the globe, oceans of digital data which is indeed the new frontier is being created at almost unimaginable rates. There is no doubt that enterprises which can identify, access, filter, analyze and use select portions of this data will effectively gain tremendous advantages.
Since roughly 25% of the time people spend online revolve around social media also referred as social networking or social web such as Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, YouTube, Vimeo, Delicious, Diigo, Foursquare, Klout, Tumblr etc, enterprises have no option but to resort such services for engaging their clientele in the light of their business mission and vision. Management Information Systems - MIS involves applying information technology to business problems in order to find a solution. In MIS one learns about hardware and software, various information systems, and how to transmit and store data as well as how to design, analyze, and implement information systems.
