The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) recently announced that it will conduct the exam for the Master of Business Administration International Business (MBA IB) course on December 3.
The mode of the exam will be offline and the last date to apply for the same is September 15, 2017.
Section wise break down of the exam
Quantitative ability section
To crack this section, candidates need good grasp on arithmetic and modern mathematics with special emphasis on the topics like quadratics equations, logarithms, probability, profit and loss, binomial theorem, algebra and geometry.
Verbal Ability section
This section is all about speed and accuracy and contains nearly 3-4 reading comprehensions. To score well in this section, candidates need to pay special attention to the grammar, reading, vocabulary and para-jumbles.
Logical Reasoning Section
This section contains questions from logical reasoning as well as from data interpretation. Candidates need to prepare well topics such as bar graphs, pie charts, family tree, arrangements and complex data situations.
General Awareness Section
This section contains questions from Environmental Science so, it is important for candidates to learn about the current and static components of the environment. Apart from this, they also need to pay special attention to history, geography, economics and politics.
- Concentrate on the weaker sections of the exam and strengthen them by solving more sample papers.
- Refer good books and prepare each section of the exam separately. Within each section pay attention to each topic and make sure that you are referring standard and good books for the preparation.
- Once you are sure that you have prepared each topic make a plan to revise reach topic again thoroughly.
- As you prepare for the exam also, work on your speed and accuracy and this can only be attained by thorough practice and by solving large number of mock tests.
