The CBSE Class XII Mathematics Examination was very difficult this year. It was held on March 18 and 50% questions of the paper were of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS).Only 10% to 20% of the paper should be of the questions from the HOTS. Also there were certain errors and many questions were out of the syllabus. This left many students disappointed. Taking this into consideration the Board has decided to review the feedback before the checking is started. A meeting of the CBSE and selected school principals was held in this regard.
The marking scheme of the examination will be reviewed by the subject experts. The students, teachers and the examiners will give their feedbacks on the marking scheme.
The circular on the CBSE website displayed that all the possible efforts will be taken to protect the interests of the students.
The issue has also been raised in the Lok Sabha by congress MP KV Thomas
A student from R N Podar School, Santacruz said that the paper was found difficult by majority of the students. The teachers also agreed the difficulty level of the examination. Also the physics paper was difficult and the students hope that the Board will consider something for this paper also.
