For realizing this noble goal, a cheque of Rs. 45 lakhs was presented to NGOs Literacy India and KHUSHII, on the occasion of International Literacy Day (September 8) by Mr. Palash Roy Chowdhury, Head-CSR Council, UTC India, along with partners, United Way of Delhi and TAF. In order to raise these funds United Way of Delhi and The Atlanta Foundation (TAF) had organized a corporate cycling event-'United India Ride' earlier this year, with the support of leading corporates like United Technologies Corporation (UTC), KPMG, Cyient and others. Literacy India and KHUSHII are the two NGOs who were chosen to receive the donation of Rs. 45 lakhs because of the incredible work being done by them in the field of uplifting women and children from the lowest rungs of the society.
