The results for the civil services prelim examination have been declared by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on its official website at upsc.gov.in.
The written test for the UPSC prelim stage was conducted by the UPSC on June 18 at various test centers to fill approximately 980 posts.
Students can follow the below written step to check their result for the same
- Go the official website of the UPSC at upsc.gov.in
- Click on the relevant link
- Click on the link which says ' CIVIL SERVICES (PRELIMINARY) EXMINATION, 2017'
- The result will be displayed
- Download the result and if required take the print out of the same
All the candidates who have cleared the prelim exam will again be required to apply online through the new DAF (Detailed Application Form) provided to them by the UPSC.
The DAF will be available on the official website of the UPSC from August 17 to August 31.
The main examination is scheduled to be held on October 28, 2017.
About CSAT
CSAT is the first phase in the main examination and is objective in nature which is followed by phase two which is subjective in nature and the final round consists of interview before the panel. The CSAT exam will also be considered as the prelim exam for the Indian Forest Service Exam 2017.
The CSAT exam comprised of two objective exams each of which consists of 200 marks and is of 2 hour duration.
This year's UPSC prelim exam was tougher than previous years as there were very few questions from the Current affairs section.
