Combined
Medical Services Exam is a competitive examination conducted by UPSC
for the medical students. Through this examination, medical officers are
appointed in various departments of:
- Assistant Divisional Medical Officers in the Railways.
- Junior Scale Posts in Indian Ordnance Factories Health Service.
- Junior Scale Posts in Central Health Services.
- Medical Officers in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi.
- General Duty Medical Officers in NDMC.

Pay Scale (Salary Credits!!)
The
starting pay is Rs 8000-275-13,500 plus non-practicing allowance.
Additionally the selected candidates are given subsidized travel, time
bound promotions etc.
Eligibility Criteria (Do you have it in you!!) :
The eligibility criteria for CMS exam 2016 is as follows:
Nationality: The
candidates who are interested in applying for CMS examination either be
a citizen of India, or a subject of Nepal, Bhutan or the person who is
migrating from a specified country and having an intention of settling
permanently in India. Those who are not citizens of India and want to
apply for the examination, have to show a certificate of eligibility,
from the Government of India.
Educational Qualifications:
The applicants must have MBBS degree. Those who are appearing in the
final year examination can also apply but they have to submit a proof of
passed final MBBS examination later on. The candidates who have
completed their internship can also apply for the examination.
Age Limit:
The candidates should be maximum 30 years as on 1st January 2016. For
scheduled caste/scheduled tribe the age limit is relaxed up to five
years.

How to Apply (Accelerate Yourself!!)
- The candidates should go to website www.upsconline.nic.in to apply for the examination.
- The
registration can be done by adding some personal details. After
registering the application form can be opened by entering username and
password generated by registration part.
- The application form requires educational, professional and personal details.
- The scanned copy of required certificates, photograph and signature must be uploaded as per requirement in the form.

There
will be 2 papers each having multiple choice questions. Each paper has
to be answered in 2 hours and having the following subjects:
